Garden Enterprise Market

Garden Enterprise Market

We are excited to announce that on Tuesday 27th June we will be hosting our first Westbury Goes Green Garden Enterprise Market, in which we will be showcasing our Allotment Education work and encouraging pupils, parents and staff to understand the benefits of growing and using fresh produce. We are also highlighting the importance of protecting our environment by recycling and reusing products and materials, as part of our Design & Technology Curriculum.

All parents and carers are invited to visit during the afternoon and purchase some of the lovely things our children have grown, cooked, and made in their lessons, including:

  • Plants
  • Chutney and Jam
  • Summer soups
  • Nature themed jewellery
  • Plant holders
  • Bird feeders
  • Bug hotels
  • Garden ornaments …and much more.

There will also be some games and activities taking place based on our environmental theme.

The market will take place between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, and pupils will be able to leave with you at the end if you wish. Please use the slip at the end of this letter to communicate this with your child’s class teacher.

Plants and products will vary in price. If you are unable to join us, pupils are still able to bring up to £5 to spend on the day. If you have any queries, please contact your child’s class teacher.

Yours sincerely,

On behalf of the Westbury Goes Green Team
