At its launch, the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) included the Westbury Woodlands Federation of special schools and the Denewood and Unity Pupil Referral Units. Trustees warmly welcomed Ambleside Academy in 2018.

In addition to sponsored academies, the Trust acts as the Nottingham City Council Commissioner for Alternative Education, working with sixteen approved providers.

The Trust is committed to working to gain the maximum benefit for the young people of Nottingham and has a strong emphasis on Special Educational Needs by sharing expertise through high-quality CPD events and bespoke resources.

Our clear intention is to make a difference to the learning and life chances of the children for whom we provide an education and, by extension, the children of our community and our county.
